How could I NOT comment on this! After all in the 27 years since I first moved from my parents home I have lived in well over 40 places [honestly, I lost count]. Of these 27 years 20 or so I can account for living in places I lived in for over a year; I've lived in three places for over 5 years each... SO; I've moved often, not so often. I've moved from places that did become home; I've had periods over which I moved more than I stayed... I think I might be able to offer you, if not sound advice; perhaps a small nugget that might provide some comfort.

Moving IS one of the most dread-full things in life... I can assure you the thought of moving is far worse than actually moving. AND the sheer dread of the physical move, packing loading and unloading can be extreme... [tips on enjoying the physical move itself can be found here]...

The amount of dread one has is equal to the time one has spent in the place they are moving from... But trust me, conversely, the decision to move is also more valid in relationship to each year you stayed... you want to MOVE.

My only advise in your looking for a new place; and one you may have overlooked because you're so used to staying is... Don't go looking for the next place you are going to stay for as long as you stayed in the place you're moving from! - I doubt you'd ever go to a bar looking for a husband; so why not just look for a good place to live for a while...

Pretty obvious stuff, eh :-)

BTW, I really wish I could offer to help ya move :-)

This sounds like big news! - I'm certain there are a few folks out there who can't see you anywhere else. I'm sorry I missed all the events I've missed there over the last, several, years... Have you found a new place?

Here's to NEW places; change, its one of the wonderful fundamentals!

Now, THAT Missus Galligan is a bravo idea! Perhaps one wandering weekend I'll reaquaint myself with the lessons learned from all the folks who have passed this and that-a-way through my life... Who know, maybe it might even re-kickstart the "100 Stories..." project!

The trick is, to use one of your 'cheaper' pots to boil the pasta in. But, non-the-less, I'll pass this suggestion of saltless pasta by the Roman, I doubt it will stick :-)

Hope you are well!

jesus d, why wouldn't people like u? it's kind of sweet tho and i feel it too. everyday is like the first day of school isn't it? i think it's true what u say. sometimes we meet somebody and our gut tells us right away this is the right person to work with. the bad thing is, is when the gut says no and our mouth still says yes. i've been doing that for too long. for all the silliest reasons. i'm gonna take your lead. sometimes we just have to put our fate in the hands of the Great Equalizer, when the time is right, what/who we need will appear.
