About

Diana Galligan has passion for storytelling. She has been devoted to comedy for most of her life. Except the really young part.  Jokes in TTC bus shelters in high school and tiny cable sketch shows watched by tens of people (hi Mom!).

As an actor, you might’ve spotted her on TV in Orphan Black or Dan for Mayor. Her first one-woman live show went  to San Francisco, winning Volunteers’ Pick for Best Show. She followed that with How to Become a Spinster for the Toronto Fringe Festival.

When she’s not making people laugh, she works behind the camera as a script supervisor for film and TV. Credits include Workin’ Moms, Slip, Children Ruin Everything, Odd Squad, and Small Achievable Goals.

Before that, she was in digital marketing and corporate video production for clients including York University, OCAD, Sony, TIFF,  Bell, and The Canadian Encyclopaedia.

And before that – as if that wasn’t enough! –  she was a scenic painter in theatre including Canadian Stage Company, Young People’s Theatre and Second City. The Second City set was at the Old Firehall, where there was an incident with some late night card playing and some white paint.

She’s a proud dog lover and has cast several dogs in her short films—not for artistic reasons, but because she enjoys chaos and drool in equal measure.
